LOOKING BACK MOVING FORWARD....

Learnt a lesson this week, how many times do we look back with regret
Go through scenarios of failed ventures, missed opportunities,closed doors.
Follow exes who hurt us or people we should have dated.
Recently I met an ex who told me leaving me was his biggest mistake, any man who leaves me regrets it.
I questioned why he'd choose such a time to say this?
As I pondered over it my love tells me he was approached by an exes friend who attempted to besmirch  my name not knowing that he's known longer than any man.
So I made a decision today to move forward the road ahead is better
For those who let go of a good thing don't weigh them down with your regret for you have no right
Move forward don't look back, you left, you said no, you let the chance go, so move forward
As I embark on a new year the road ahead is least travelled but I move forward with hope and courage I move forward so my friends move forward don't look back.
 As my favorite author said don't wait by the harbor for ships long sailed, nor be the sailor looking back at the harbor.
 Forge ahead .
 Be you the best you right now in this moment for the present is all we have.

FINDING MY CENTRE

It's been a while since I blogged and well lots happened
Back in school enjoying it so much have so much clarity
Met people who demonized me earlier but now I just have pity on them
They saw my power my strength and purpose n chose to oppress instead of nurture and embrace it

My love and I were united together in front of our family
The joy and pride in our families eyes gave us wings to soar like eagles
I have found my centre
I am where I am meant to be

So blessed to know my happiness is my own
Blessed to know no one can put you down unless you allow them
I am a force of nature
I am not alone
I am loved

On to the next chapter of my life
I'm glad I'm sharing it
I am loved by God my family both of them
But most of all I love me

Tonight as we drank vanilla vodka and danced in the kitchen as I cooked french fries at 10pm and viennas.
I realized something
I have come full circle
I am where and when I need to be

I cant wait for the rest of our lives
We have come full circle.....

RESET

Recently i learnt that fear if hitting the reset button on our life keeps us from growing.
My phone has been giving me problems of late, dropping calls, not receiving calls etc. This brought me tonnes of problems with work especially when I am on call. I thought of changing my sim cards buying a new phone etc etc. Everything but reset my phone, oh my! lose my data my messages my photos, then it hit me i have an SD card. Long story short i have postponed this for the past one month till today as i struggled to check my messages my phone hung for the umpteenth time. I had enough and hit reset and my word. I am doing a dance enjoying the change.
I learnt that reset is necessary when things are not working. Reset is not equal to failure as you just start fresh.
Reset is a clean slate a plate wiped clean. If you don't reset willingly life will reset you forcefully.
I am learning this as i start a new life with my partner and yes i found love or love found me and he was right in front of me.
Learning that i am where i need to be and getting ready for a new change in terms of my career.
I am happy with my reset.
GO ON HIT THE RESET BUTTON.

This past weekend I was out and about with my girlfriends. Coastal holiday!!!!!!!!!!!! I had a blast and then i realised that with age i have laernt a few truths:
I will have fun no matter what
I will not drink myself to a stupor
I do not have to do budget holidaying if i can afford not to
I will not tolerate pretence or people trying to abuse my good naturedness
So i will party like a rock star
I will do me and no one else

I REALISED I USED TO GIVE MYSELF TO MEN WHO WERE AND ARE UNDESERVING OF ME, COULD HAVE BEEN WORSE I COULD HAVE MARRIED THEM.

I HAVE GIVEN THE GIFT OF FRIENDSHIP TO THOSE UNAPPRECIATIVE OF IT, COULD HAVE BEEN WORSE I COULD BE RELATED TO THEM.

I HAVE REALISED I TEND TO LET HURTFUL WORDS WOUND MY SPIRIT, COULD HAVE BEEN WORSE I COULD HAVE LET THE WOUNDS FESTER INSTEAD OF HEAL.

I AM GLAD FOR ALL OF LIFE'S LESSONS FOR THEY MADE ME INTO WHO I AM TODAY, COULD HAVE BEEN WORSE I MAY NOT HAVE SEEN THE LESSSON TO BE LEARNT THEREIN.

Peace is the calm in the midst of a storm. Peace is the cool breeze brushing across your face. Peace is the sense of relief in ones soul. Peace is being happy no matter what. Peace is looking at people who wronged you and smiling. Peace is sitting in a cafe lost in your thoughts. Peace is being able to smile once again. Peace is loving all you see in the mirror. HOPE
Today as I walked to work
God taught me a lesson in hope.
There by the sidewalk
Was a lovely plant with white flowers
Surrounded by tarmac it overcame obstacles
It broke free from underground sprouted
Blossomed flowers with the sweetest scent
As i walked past i saw it
There by the side was a purple blossom
Amongst the white a solitary purple blossom
God's answer to my prayers

Hope is overcoming obstacles and sprouting
Hope is continue growing despite harsh conditions
Hope is having blossoms that give a sweet scent
Hope is that purple blossom amongst the white

Have hope be the purple blossom
Never lose hope even when they call u crazy
Never lose hope even when u feel u no one is for you
